update on Lillian

I’m beginning to understand the similarities between miscarriages and failed adoptions. It hurts, and I don’t even know this pain firsthand.

Lillian’s birth family took her back at the court date.

And now our prayers shift.

For the family and Lillian to know the Lord. For the Earharts to feel peace and comfort from the Great Comforter. For the volunteers at the Home who have watched this play out. For Ted and Bev as they seek wisdom during their next steps.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. [2 Corinthians 1:3-5, NLT]

I’m going to choose to smile whenever I think of this beautiful little girl. She is precious in His sight — whether in Taiwan or the U.S. He is good to her and good to us all.

I agree, on everything. It’s rough, but prayer works.

Natalie, congrats on your next move. I love your blog and especially have enjoyed your updates on Taiwan. For a little while I got to be Lillian’s grandmother and it was awesome. Thanks for caring for her. I’m preparing to take LCSW exam–yes quite late in life! Enjoy grad school!
