Hi, friends. I’m 25 years old, married to my favorite husby, and adopting twin boys from a big country in Africa. We got married in December 2011, and we started the adoption process in May 2012. You might say we’re crazy, but all I can say is God is good.
We just moved to Indianapolis from St. Louis, and we are active as a host family through Safe Families. I have worked as an adoption/foster care social worker. I like film photography, trying to be crafty, Google Reader, new music, magazines, and road trips to new cities. My husband is resident at the hospital in the emergency department, and he is wonderfully calm, patient, disciplined, and hilarious. We just got a dog, Oscar, and he is awesome.
My blog started on August 27, 2008 as a place to share little things I liked with people I knew and some I didn’t. For a while, it was nothing real dense, heavy or weighty. Just little things.
But then I decided to try out blogging about big stuff — personal stories, my struggles, my joys. It’s part of this resolution to live one life and one life only: a life of honesty and vulnerability. It’s been really good for me, and my prayer is that something here is encouraging to you.
